 “Known But to God”

These poignant words are inscribed on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington Cemetery.

They suggest sacrifice, caring, and commitment.  Just how great a price this individual paid for love of country and devotion to duty, although unheeded by most of humanity, is beyond understanding – known but to God.  For all who believe in God’s love and grace abounding, it is all that matters.

Similarly, the apostle Paul calls us to express our faith by using our gifts, even in the absence of regard by others.  If you have the gift of music, and wish to share that gift with the congregation of Byfield Parish Church by singing in the Choir, you will be welcomed enthusiastically.  However, it is our deepest belief that your commitment of effort and sacrifice of time are solely for the glory of God and the uplifting of His Church.  The offering of your energy and time, even if sometimes under-appreciated by everyone else – will be known to God.

Thanks for joining us.
