• To the Choir, from the Chief Musician 

  1.  Thou hast put gladness in my heart. 

  2.  My voice shalt thou hear in the morning,
       O Lord; in the morning will I direct my
       prayer unto thee, and will look up.

  3.  I will be glad and rejoice in thee:  I will
       sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

  4.  For his anger endureth but a moment; in
       his favor is life; weeping may endure for a
       night, but joy cometh in the morning.

  5.  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation
       of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord,
       my strength and my redeemer.

  6.  And he hath put a new song in my mouth,
       even praise unto our God;  many shall see it
       and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

  • Thursday evening rehearsals, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

  • Sunday morning warm-up, 8:15 to 8:45 a.m.

  • Sunday Worship Services, 9:00 and 10:45 a.m.

  • Special programs.  Generally: Christmas and Easter.

  • Rehearsals for these concerts are called by the
    Music Director.  A complete rehearsal schedule will
    be published before you are asked to make a commitment

  • Music Sunday --- in late Spring.  This Service marks
    the beginning of the Church’s summer schedule.
    After Music Sunday, the choir does not sing or rehearse again until
    the resumption of the winter schedule in September

All choir members, regardless of proficiency, should plan to attend all rehearsals and warm-ups.  The aim of any choir is to sing with a unified voice, and that voice cannot be attained unless most of the singers are present most of the time.  If you are unable to attend a rehearsal, warm-up, or worship service, it is important to notify the Choir Director in advance. If possible, write your name on the calendar in the choir room to indicate the days you will be missing. If you cannot give more advance notice, be sure to contact the Choir Director prior to rehearsal or Sunday worship.
