Opportunities for Fellowship & Growth            8/29/10

We are saddened to learn of the death of our friend and long-time missionary, William Addai.  William passed from complications of pneumonia and a long battle with paralyses. Cards and notes can be sent to, Cecilia Addai, 6260 Palladio Lane, Fontana, CA 92336.

Family Game night (9/10/10) at 6 PM: Come join us for a time of Family, Friends, Fellowship and Fun! Bring your family and friends, your favorite games and maybe a snack or drink to share (Snack & drink are NOT required).  We hope to see you there.

Bike ride to Maine- Get together with us on Labor Day for a fun trip to Kittery on your bicycles. We will be meeting at Triton High parking lot at 10 am. You do not need to be an expert at biking and we will take breaks on demand. We may be back before dark. Contact Stephen Brigham 978 500 6054 for information if you wish to attend

Haverhill area Homeschoolers are seeking a Christian chemistry teacher for their 28 week co-op, which starts September 10th.  The classes are held every Friday and go from 12:30 to 1:45, at the First Church of Christ in Bradford (the church on the common).  Teacher need not have a degree, but should have knowledge of, and be comfortable teaching chemistry. If you are interested, or want more information, please contact Robin Mann @ 978-346-7192, or the co-op coordinator, Leslie Benvenuti @ 978-372-9638.

Forgiven and Set Free: Come join us this fall to receive post-abortive support, healing and education in a small group setting.  Classes held in two locations. Andover, Monday evenings, Sept. 28-Nov. 30 and Haverhill Monday evenings, Sept. 13-Nov. 15.  Contact the Pregnancy Care Center at 978-373-5700 or Kathie at PACE, 978-241-2271.

The Monday Morning Ladies’ Bible Study will resume on September 20 at 9:15 am in the Fellowship hall.  We will be using John MacArthur’s study guide to look at the New Testament books of I & II Thessalonians this year.  Please join us for another exciting year of learning with each other and from each other under LaVerne Clayton’s loving guidance and leadership.  If you have any questions, please call LaVerne  Nancy Carter (978) 352-2444.

Co-Ed Christian Bowling League Starting in September 2010, after Labor Day, a co-ed (anyone 15+, regardless of bowling experience) Christian bowling league is forming.  The games will be played weekly on Wednesdays at 6 PM at the Academy Lanes in Bradford.  The cost is $ 10 weekly, plus shoe rental, if needed.  It will be a great time of FAMILY, FRIENDS, FELLOWSHIP and FUN! The Women of the West Congregational Church in Peabody invite the Women of BPC to join them in their women’s retreat, Hope: An Anchor of our Souls, November 5-7 at Brookwoods Conference Center in Alton, NH.  You can pick up a brochure from the table in the narthex.

Bradford Christian Academy is looking for host families for International students ranging in age from 7th through 12th grades.  If your family is interested in hosting an International student, please call Jennifer Cram at 978-373-7900 for more information. Host families are paid a stipend for housing, feeding, and caring for the students.

Come celebrate the summer in Rowley with “Concert on the Common”, featuring the band Dangerous Goods! This dynamic 6-member group, which include familiar faces (John Fichera, Mike Savelyev, Amy Fichera & Owen Jamison), cover great family friendly rock tunes from the 60s to today! There will be local food vendors and lots of room to picnic, play games, or dare we suggest...dance? A free event! Load up your cars - Parking will fill up quickly! 4pm - 8pm, Sunday, August 29th.

The Women’s Council of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary cordially invites you to the So. Youth ministry

Student Ministry Summer BBQ:  Our 5th and final BBQ of the summer is this Wednesday (September 1st) from 5 PM to 7:30 PM at the Baker's house 288 Middle Street in West Newbury.  The BBQ is open to all students entering 7th grade to 12th grade.  Come join us for a fun night of food and fellowship.  There is a pool so feel free to bring a bathing suit if the weather permits.  Bring a friend and a side (chips, salad, drink, etc.) to share.  Any questions please contact Jake Murray at
